Semi-Truck Service Technician and Tire Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Semi-Truck Service Technician and Tire Mechanic to join our team. As a valued member of our maintenance crew, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our client’s fleets. Responsibilities:
- Maintain a Clean Work Area: Keep your workspace organized and tidy to promote safety and efficiency.
- Complete Assigned Tasks: Execute repair and maintenance tasks promptly and accurately.
- Oil and Tire Changes: Perform oil changes and tire replacements for light and medium-duty trucks.
- Mechanical and Diagnostic Work: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using your expertise and diagnostic tools.
- Lift Heavy Loads: Be prepared to lift weights ranging from 50 to 100 pounds as part of your daily tasks.
- Rotating Weekends and Evening Shifts: Flexibility is key; you’ll be part of a rotating schedule that includes weekends and evenings.
- On-Call Availability: Respond promptly to emergency repair calls during off-hours.
- Customer Service: Interact with drivers and fleet managers professionally, providing excellent service.
- Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive and respectful demeanor, leaving personal matters at home.
Qualifications
- CDL License (a Plus): A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is advantageous, although not mandatory.
- 1+ Years of Semi-Truck Technician or Tire Mechanic Experience: Prior experience in semi-truck maintenance or tire repair is highly valued.
- Willingness to Work Some Weekends and Evenings: Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and evenings, is essential to meet operational demands.
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift weights ranging from 50 to 100 pounds during daily tasks.
- Proficiency in Diagnostics and Repair: Skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues efficiently.
- Effective Communication Skills: Clear communication with colleagues, drivers, and fleet managers is crucial.
- Collaboration: A team player who can work effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Adaptability: Willingness to perform tasks not directly related to mechanical work as requested by the team.
